Volunteers, with the council are working to encourage healthy activities, including walking and yoga, and also to improve the diversity of wildlife in the park.'

Important Information

The plan is to meet up at the Arsenal Community Hub on Benwell Road, and after a short warm up, health and safety briefing and a warm welcome, we will run together to Thornhill Square Gardens.

Anna and the team will be on hand to offer us some lovely satisfying gardening tasks around one of the largest green open spaces in Islington!

Our plan is to help with a large springtime planting project. Tasks will involve digging to remove weeds, lifting plants from the beds to new locations and spreading grit to improve the overall quality of the soil across the park. Lots of physical tasks- a good workout!

If you are not planning to run with us, our arrival time at Thornhill Square Gardens will be 7.10 - 7.15pm.

After our session, we will aim to arrive back at the Arsenal Community Hub for 8.30pm at the latest.

Things to Note

We are delighted to announce that we now have a bag drop and bathroom facilities for our group runs. Thank you to Arsenal Community Hub for accomodating us!

Please allow enough time to drop bags, as we will be running at 7pm sharp!

Options are available to run between 5km and 6km in total

Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
