York Archeological TrustYork Archaeology have asked us to give them a hand closing down their community archaeology site for winter. The site at the former Willow House Care Home, by Walmgate Bar, has been run as a community archaeology site, including as part of the Archaeology on Prescription programme.
The task will mainly involve pushing wheelbarrows full of dirt - so bring gloves! We've also been advised to wear sturdy footwear and long trousers (no shorts).
Meet at the white cabin by the entrance to Willow House (https://what3words.com/large.bliss.valley).
