Dorset Road AllotmentsWelcome to WWF x GoodGymβs Workout for Nature. From 7th April to 4th May WWF and GoodGym are collaborating on hundreds of sessions to celebrate Earth Day. Each session will involve a Workout for Nature - a physical volunteering activity which will benefit local green spaces, and give your own wellbeing a boost. Simply sign up below and come along. No experience required!
This week we're heading to the Dorset Road Allotments site. They do a load of nice community stuff and they want to turn an area which is currently an old chicken run overrun with brambles into a space for more community activities.
We'll be dismantling, using wire cutters, piling up wood and trimming back vegetation. It's good fun!
The run is 3km each way.
π Meet at the Bridge House from 6:45pm. You can leave coats etc with the bar staff.
πββοΈ 7pm group jog to the task
β 7:20 complete the task
πββοΈ 8pm group jog back to the Bridge House
π§ 8:30 go home/stick around for a drink
π New to running? We jog at a relaxed pace and always have a backmarker so no-one gets left behind.
β° Running late or donβt fancy the jog? Meet us at the task venue at 7:20pm
π‘𧀠Dress for the task/weather - gardening gloves for outside tasks, head torch for dark tasks.
