A lovey sunny day with two groups of us running the four mile round trip to Asylum link garden allotments in Childwall to dig potato trenches. Had our youngest runners yet with Catherine and Nicolette (9 and 11) running with us, and even putting us to shame, running round in circles while we warmed up! Our faster group made great time, and our follow-up group had great fun running and walking alternatively and making it there not far behind them.

Digging is hard work, or at least we made it look that way, collecting last years potatoes as we found them in the ground, with Alex & John collecting 13 between them and taking them home for lunch. With the ground cleared and the trenches dug, the Asylum seeker group will come and plant potatoes this week which will be used when harvested for community lunches! A swift fun back through the local parks and we're done and happy for another week. The next run in two weeks time from Sefton the same. Watch out for the run report.

Oh - and if you're in the Kensington / North Liverpool area do say hello, we'll be starting our next run their shortly!
