Two reluctant early risers made the most of a lovely sunny morning to head to Hilly Fields (parkrun home of GoodGym Lewisham) to help setup the Midsummer Fayre.

After a slow start, with a rather worrying lack of anything at all happening on the field, a solid stream of vehicles and people soon started to flow in to help setup.

Danny and I were put in charge of lining the entire edge of the field with professional hazard tape, which even along with some high vis jackets wasn’t enough to quash the bric-a-brac stall holders’ anarchy!

We also assembled some signage, roped off the main arena, and did a quick bit of stall holder marshalling (facing even more anarchy in the process, these stall holders were keen to get going!) before we headed off... Danny to his second of 5 (yes, 5!) missions for the weekend, and Emma to the airport for a week in Spain! Hasta la vista!
