On a wet morning in Ealing, a group of young witches and wizards turned out for Pitshanger Parkrun. Despite the rain, they all had smiles on their faces, or maybe that was all down to their face paint.
GoodGym Ealing and a group of dedicated volunteers were out to support the young runners, whose enthusiasm for running and puddle jumping would be on show for everyone to see. They all set off for a swift 2km around the damp course. A few then took a quick half time break to put extra rain layers on and some of those who didn't were dissolved into skeletons, laying strewn at the side of the course.
As the children crossed the line, a few were disappointed to find out that broomstick assisted times would not be recorded. This meant that some skeletons and the sole Batman were promoted up the final rankings.
We expect some normality to return next week when the spirits have returned to the underworld.
