The Order of Out
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.
- Friday, 15th of September 2023
Mr A lived in a dystopian world where everything prevented him from leaving his room. He stayed in a building where lifts, shared toilets and common rooms had a piece of paper stuck onto them. Out of Order, each note announced. The facility had stairs, but Mr A, whose flat was on the first floor, was in a wheelchair. Only the Order of Out could help him gather the essential supplies from the dangerous outside world to survive.
Order of Out sent K, an inconspicuous individual known for getting things done. Mr A handed K his list of essentials and explained what each line meant. He was a lovely person with a heart-warming attitude, but his handwriting had a cryptic quality.
K was to deliver three whole birds for Mr A for £10 or less. Hunting pigeons and parakeets with bare hands was out of the question in less than an hour, so K went to Morrisons and found three chickens on offer for £10. Having already been in the supermarket, she decided to look for the rest of the supplies there, especially as four things from the list had Morrisons (or Maximum, in Mr A's handwriting) in its name.
K found the maximum of items possible to find, even the Regal Marble Fairy cakes, by relentlessly querying Morrisons staff. At some point, she discovered that locating the products by price was often the easiest option. Still, the Maximum 8 Chicken Burgers 8 x 57 grams for £2 and two Rustlers Mini Burgers for £1 each could not be found. Mr A didn't seem bothered by that and was absolutely happy that the Order of Out fulfilled is ask. The Order of Out will continue running, even if the lifts won't.
