HEAVYWEIGHT LIFTING IN STEPNEY

0 GoodGymers made their way 4km to help their local community.

Wednesday, 2nd of May 2012

Tonight a team of runners from the Canary Wharf area headed out from the Reebok Gym and out into the streets towards Stepney. We had a few sprints in front of the river and arrived at Stepney after approximately 18 minutes of running. Annie had a few lifting jobs for us, we began with some bags of sand which felt pretty heavy, then moved on to some pallets which were much lighter. After that some of us shifted logs and others shifted incredibly heavy curb stones. Really very very heavy. Alfie, an incredibly strong footballer took the brunt of the weight assisted by the wheelbarrow. On the way bag we had a good speedy run along Limehouse cut and then back to Canary Wharf through the housing estates around poplar highstreet.
