Windmill Community Gardens Bramble Bash
To help the volunteers make the gardens clean and tidy

Date and time
11:00 - 13:00The Windmill Community Gardens have begun work on a new wild space and have a big fight on their hands with the brambles. The space has been abandoned for a long time so there are some absolute monster brambles in there that need some bashing!
They don't want to remove them all, they are an important part of the wild spaces, but they do need some serious management and cutting back before spring gets going.
So can you help? They will be having a bashing sesh on Monday 3rd Feb from 11-1 and everyone is welcome. It won't be glamorous work but it's very satisfying! They have all the tools and gloves etc at the garden but if you have your own feel free to bring those too! It's muddy underfoot so don't wear shiny new trainers.
It's a great excuse to come and visit the gardens if you haven't been before and a good reason to come back if you have ๐ You will be helping to create an accessible wild garden in an urban area to be appreciated by local people and the wildlife!
This will involve various gardening and maintenance tasks. Please bring gardening gloves if you can ๐งค๐งค

There may not be a member of the GoodGym TaskForce present at this session but the volunteers at the gardens will be there to welcome you. If anyone would be willing to take a couple of photos and write a short report afterwards, that would be amazing!
Please post on the GoodGym Nottingham WhatsApp group, comment below or email goodgymnottingham@gmail.com if you have any questions at all about this session.
