WE ACT (Woking Environment Action) are organising a Tree Planting Project. It will make Woking a healthier, greener place for us all:

🌳 Boosting nature and supporting local wildlife by providing new habitats and food sources 💨 Improving air quality by absorbing pollutants and releasing oxygen. 😌 Green spaces with trees reduce stress and keep us feeling happy and healthy 🌍 Trees provide shade, reduce urban heat, and help manage stormwater, which will make Woking more resilient to extreme weather events like flooding. 🤝 Bringing our local community together and get to know each other better.

Thanks to WEAct’s partnership with Woking Borough Council and a generous donation of 420 trees from the Woodland Trust, WE ACT is bringing more nature to the community. Come help them get these trees in the ground!

For more information Check out the Woodland Trust’s video on how to plant a tree! (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbKmvYI09zizPvSFXLRREgNtl2Xfup8vo)

The planting will take place in White Rose Lane Nature Reserve on Sunday 8th March,(https://w3w.co/fact.album.copper). But we will meet at the Woking Leisure Centre, next to the ramp, and run from there.

What should you bring? 🧤Bring your enthusiasm, gloves, and your own hot drinks Biscuits 🍪 will be provided to keep the energy up!)

WE ACT will be there from 10 to 1pm.
