Soil Shifting at Pembury Community Garden - Group Task!

It will open up 6 new raised beds for the community to grow vegetables in.

The project is a large growing space in between Hindrey and Tolsford Road, offering a space for residents to grow fresh fruit and vegetables, spend time amongst nature, gain horticultural skills, and connect with their neighbours. We need help putting soil in our raised beds!

Join the regular growing session at Pembury Gardens!

6 tonne bags of soil need to be moved from the top of Hindrey Road into the raised beds at the garden.

Barrows need to be filled, wheeled over to the garden, and repeat!

This is a manual task we can all get stuck into. Jack, the task leader, will be there to coordinate.

Let’s see how many bags we can shift!

MEETING POINT

The community gardens are behind house numbers 85-78 Hindrey Road. Access is via a footpath, which runs along the side of no 85 towards the back of the properties. There is a large metal gate, which should be open. Otherwise Jack from the community garden organisation will come to meet you there.
