We've been asked to supply some marshalls to help make sure the Nottingham 10k runs smoothly.

This will be our third year supporting this great event. You'll need to be prepared for an early start! The task generally involves telling drivers that roads are closed in the hour or so before the race starts, then cheering on the runners as they come past. You'll get a briefing before you're sent to your marshalling point, and a goody bag of snacks to keep you going!

My top tip: Bring a flask with a hot drink and some gloves!
