Who this task will support
Shooting Star Children's Hospices
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across west London and Surrey. We’re here to make every moment count, whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care. Our specialist care and support is free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We support around 500 babies, children, or young adults who have a life-limiting condition and their families, as well as around 200 bereaved families. It costs £10 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, so we rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our services going.

We have an exciting opportunity to make a big impact in just one hour, and we’d love as many of you as possible to join us!

📅 Saturday 20 December ⏰ 2:00 pm (rapid 1-hour task!)

Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, an incredible charity providing vital care for children with life-limiting illnesses, as well as much-needed support for their siblings and parents, needs our help. They’re launching their Christmas Tree Collection service, offered in exchange for a small donation, and they’re counting on us to spread the word across the community.

Our mission: deliver leaflets locally so more families hear about the service, raising funds that directly support the hospice’s essential care.

It’s a simple task, but together, we can help unlock a huge amount of support for families who truly need it this Christmas.

If you can spare just one hour at 2 pm on Saturday, your time will genuinely make a difference, and the more volunteers we have, the bigger the impact as we hit homes and businesses promoting the fundraiser. Last year, Woking Goodgym successfully delivered over 1000 leaflets.

Let’s finish the year strong and show what GoodGym Woking can do. Who’s in?

(meet outside Woking Leisure Centre at 2 pm sharp)
