This was a great task helping Macmillan with their Coffee morning, hosted by Southsea Library. It was a slow start, but soon got very busy. Tracy and I were tasked with looking after the teas, coffees and cakes. Tracy had made cheese scones and bramley apple mufins, and there were plenty of other lovely cakes donated. Tracy was given a new name of Urnie after being responsible for filling the hot water urn by booling several kettles of water. We had entertainment from a band singing a mix of Beatles, Oasis and other popular bands. Then a choir who sang songs from the musicals. The event culminated in the Raffle which was a huge success with some great prizes donated. A wonderful total of £1431.77 was donated for the Macmillan charity.
