Who this task will support
The UP Garden
We are transforming a 900m2 long-abandoned asphalt yard, in the middle of a concrete housing estate in Forest Gate that is an urban heat island, by re-greening 25% and introducing SuDS. It will become a free-to-access community garden that will focus on edible plants and an open play space that will allow children to use their own creativity. Workshops will be offered on relevant topics like balcony gardening and upcycling. Please read more at www.theUPgarden.org.

Forest Gayte Pride returns on 12-14 July! Pending their own flyer, here is The UP Garden's save-the-date who are the official Sunday venue. More details will follow once confirmed, but it will be a fabulous afternoon with something for all ages!

We'd really love help as follows: - 12-1pm - set-up (relocating furniture, putting stuff out) Other slots listed as other CMS

  • 1-5pm - giving stickers at the gate to people who don't want to be photographed, can do shorter slots on rota

  • 5-6pm - set-down (putting stuff back, tidying up) Other slots listed as other CMS
