Date and time
19:00 - 20:00Wednesday night is GoodGym night and this week we are helping the Neighbourhood Serivices team at RBWM with a project located at Norfolk Park. They have requested GoodGym's help to clear an area of overgrown greenery to make way for a nature garden.
The area of green between Cookham Rd and St Luke’s Rd has become rather overgrown. We will be cutting back all the bushes to provide a useable space for the introduction of a nature garden with a bug hotel, seating, rain gardens and wild flower area.
RBWM have a contractor in place who will do all the planting for the rain gardens and construct the nature garden, but this task will really help to get everything ready for the project to really "grow" and come alive. The task owner, Imogen, will be providing some tools and bags for the cuttings, but please ensure you bring gardening gloves, some tools if you have any favourites that you like to use, plus a head torch as this will be a dark task.
GoodGym encourage members to run, walk or cycle to community missions so please check out the "getting there" part of this listing and sign up to arrive at the task with some other members by foot.
The exact task location should be found using What3Words; harsh.reader.chains.
Look forward to seeing you there!
