Full Cycle Community Bike Project
Full Cycle's friendly team believe in the brilliance of the bicycle, and are as passionate about recycling as cycling. Our mission is to refurbish and rehome unwanted bikes, minimising waste, promoting active travel and giving people from all backgrounds access to affordable cycling. To achieve this, we work with local grassroots causes to inspire and support more people into cycling, with a big focus on helping old bikes find new homes with local residents most in need.

As passionate about recycling as cycling, Full Cycle is an independent, non-profit community group run by a friendly team of bike mechanics and volunteers. They believe in the brilliance of the bicycle, and that every person – from all walks of life – should have access to their own affordable bike. That’s why Full Cycle work closely within the Kingston community, offering everything from great value bike servicing and maintenance classes to second hand bikes.

What can GoodGym do to help? They always have jobs that are time-consuming and need extra hands. In the past we have cleaned bikes, pumped up second hand inner tubes to test for leaks and rolled up damaged ones so they ready to be shipped off for recycling. Simple tasks that hoover up lots of time - this is where we can really make an impact with a good sign up. The more people we have to help, the more we can help clear their to-do list.

Many of the bikes they receive have been left unloved in garages or gardens for years, so are in need of some TLC! Your help in cleaning the bikes will make them ready for their mechanics to refurbish, so they can be given to local people in need, including refugees and homeless residents.

If you have an unwanted spare bike please consider cycling or wheeling it to the task and donate it to this brilliant cause. You can log this as an extra good deed to help bump up your tally :)

Risk of getting a little damp, but also there could be grease so don't wear your finest clothes!

We will meet at the Quaker Centre at 6.30pm and run 2.5km there and 2.5km run back. We'll be at Full Cycle for 7pm - the address for Full Cycle is 175-181 Kingston Road, New Malden, KT3 3SX. Please let me know if you are intending to meet us there.

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.
