For this week's Group Run we will be heading to Canbury Gardens to assist with the Canbury Pavillon. It’s a gem of a community hall and it’s mostly used for kid’s groups and parties so we need to help keep it in good condition. It’s run by volunteers through the Canbury Community Trust and they do a fantasy job of maintaining the building but could do with extra muscle power for some of the jobs.

They have asked for the following jobs to be tackled as it’s often these types of things that get over looked and then build up. The tables and chairs haven’t had a deep clean in a long time so let’s get stuck in. They also need help with tidying the storage room at the back and a little gardening and removal of weeds if the weather is good. We need a good crowd for this task as there will be heavy lifting and many hands make light work.

Meet at the Quaker Centre for 6.30pm or at the Canbury Pavilion for 7pm. If you’re meeting at the pavilion then use What3Words ///dream.mash.soils to locate as it’s inside the park.

We can arrange a walking group so please let us know if you want to walk instead of running or cycling. This is a great starter session for newcomers so please come along and see what GoodGym is all about.

Don’t forget it’s the social at The Albion afterwards for food and drink. We should get there for 8.30pm. Can’t make the task? Come and join us to find out more about GoodGym.

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.
