Waoohhahahahahhoahaoahaohh. Next week's debate: how do you pronounce that?
Anyway, we had some newbies tonight. Well, they are no longer newbs, but they were up until about 19.15. Welcome to David, Louise, Elham and Suse (not really a newb, but hasn't done GG since 2014 in Tower Hamlets).
And congrats to the GG Islington team who took part in the Olympics at the weekend: Kike, James, Claire, Steve, Aidan, Danica and Simon F (silver in the 5000). Well done as well, I suppose, to traitor Graham who ran for Ealing.
A brand new task for this evening. Off to Barnard Adventure Playground to give the place a good old clear up of weeds and litter. There were so many weeds, you could say it was like a jungle. Katie, our host, has just taken over the playground and provided us with lots of gloves and a few litter pickers. We got stuck in for a good half hour and pulled up absolutely masses of weeds (and the odd crisp packet). What a difference we made. Katie is delighted and we are welcome back whenever we want. Good news.
Some interesting Oreos for our biscuit break. We gorged on limited edition "Strawberry Cheesecake" flavour and a new "Mint" flavour.
What do you do when you've been working in an adventure playground for half an hour? You play in it. Some great fun was had climbing around on things and zipping down the zip wire!
Steve suggested this week's debate. GG Camden's grandfather Shaun put out this video last week wishing GG Camden good luck in the GG Olympics and in it he says "It's not cheating until you get caught." Is cheating ever acceptable? Alberto agreed with Shaun's sentiment and claims he's not a cheat because he hasn't been caught. Chris pointed out that he just admitted it so now he's been caught by 30 of us. Very confusing this cheating thing.
See you next week,
Simo
