Despite some moisture in the air, 6 lovely GoodGymers set out for an evening's weeding at a brand new task for GoodGym Bromley - TNG Youth Centre. TNG stands for The New Generation - apparently a group of kids fundraised about 10 years ago to get it built to give the area something for the youth to do. It's a cool centre with a climbing wall(!), music studio, sports pitch, parkour equipment... Unfortunately we weren't there to mess around today.
We ran the 2.5km route (with a more gradual hill...) to TNG and met Trevor who handed us tools aplenty as well as some bags.
Highlights from the evening included:
🪓 Alex chopping his way through a pretty meaty tree stump
🌳 Holly and her 'weed salad'
🦷 Stephen getting some huge roots out
After a solid 40 minutes we tied up the SEVEN bags we'd filled and headed back along a different route, with a steep incline and more gradual downhill.
WEEDED IT! 💥
