What litter picking has made me realise is that people throw litter in the most awkward places...Maybe they don't want to get caught throwing litter, may be it is just mindless? Anyhow, last night we ran to the car park behind B&M in which the bushes were filled with litter. We managed a very decent haul in 35 minutes - A lot of beer bottles and cans all of which were less than 100 metres from the nearest bin.
Joel received thanks from a passer by (perhaps he will come join us one day) whilst Joe and Laurie found a tomato plant growing nicely in the most unexpected place...nature is wonderful eh!
We looped our chilly run back to base with cheers of "run Forrest" from teenagers...
A HUGE weekend of running with Colchester Stampede Half Marathon...and the small matter of the London Marathon, good luck David - you've got this.
