Tonight, nine Goodgymers rose to the challenge and braved the cold, damp weather to help at Chiswick House and Gardens. We arrived on foot and by bike to meet the head gardener outside the gates of CHG.
Everyday we’re shovelling
Our task tonight was preparing the rose beds for spring, shovelling our way through a large pile of wood chip at lightening speed. Chris in particular, was on a mission tonight and kept the barrows full for a solid 45 minutes of shovelling.
Much of a mulchness
Each of us put our backs into it, filling wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow full to the brim and heading out through the back of the yard to the main gardens. We formed an orderly queue much like the planes landing at Heathrow, with head torches lighting the way.
House of the Rosing pun
Countless barrow loads later we called it a day, but not before we had marked the occasion of Kash’s 300th good deed, and tried to come up with pun for the task report. Not only are we blessed to have Kash as a member of Goodgym for her dedication and energy as both taskforce and covering as Ealing Activator, but she’s also responsible for some of the most original and entertaining task reports. She is quite literally punstoppable when it comes to a report title.
Huge congrats on reaching 300 Kash and here’s to the next milestone, which we’re sure will be very soon!
