Would you like an adventure now, or would you like to have your tea first?
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.

I'd done my first shop for Mrs J last Friday, so it was good to be able to give her a call again to find out what she needed today. She opened the conversation by kindly saying that the shop last week was so effective her list wasn't too long today - I can only think it was that extra packet of liquorice that I'd put in the basket that won her over...
Morning tea finished I was on the bike and heading west. Amazingly no queue at my now favourite Friday morning supermarket, so after a friendly hello to the security guard, it was a reasonably quick voyage around the quiet aisles at Waitrose to find everything that Mrs J needed - mostly fruit and veg, and her list was even in order of where things would be found in the shop and with indications of prices too...just perfect.
The final challenge, which Mrs J had put on her list last week (but had then subsequently crossed off thinking it probably couldn't be found) was to hunt down some Aunt Bessie's crumble mix...ah, the challenge of the dreaded baking section, but no, Waitrose again came good with a decent supply on the shelf and I completed the list, including 3 more liquorice catherine wheels as the final Friday treat items.
On the walk back to Mrs J's I passed a blue plaque on a house telling me that J M Barrie, the author and creator of Peter Pan, lived there back in the late 1880s...can't think I'm alone in wishing for some wings and the ability to fly right now...
