Worming our way to another good deed
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Hounslow.

Five of us met up at a small patch of land at the junction of the A4 and Sutton Court Road in Chiswick to start prepping the area for a makeover. Abundance London have earmarked this spot for a little TLC and much like the other patches of land Abundance have worked on in the area, this little corner of West London will soon be looking a whole lot better.
We previously helped with digging the turf which made way for the piazza/ wild flower meadow by Turnham Green, so we're excited to see the finished result here too.
A couple of us were a little delicate today after a few too meny last night but we dug in and made a good start turning over the soil. Delicate stomachs were not helped by the abundance of wiggly worms that kept appearing precociously close to the spears of our forks... prompting Luis to dangle the longest above his open mouth :-O
But we never let a little thing like a hangover or the heavy rain before the task put us off. After 90 minutes of pretty solid labour and we were all ready for some of Luis's decadent chocolate cake. It may have been a day late to celebrate Amanda's milestone but it was worth the wait. Congrats to Amanda on her 50th good deed and great to see you Bethan.
You can get involved in this local project by signing up to the Community Mission on Wednesday night 18:30 - 20:00 or Saturday 31st at 10am when we’ll aim to finish off the digging and start planting.
