Woking Junior Parkrun 187
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the parkrun - Woking junior parkrun in Woking.
- Sunday, 18th of September 2022
- Led by James McCloud
Conditions were great for this mornings Junior Parkrun being dry and much cooler than we have been used to.
James and Adam met up with Rich from No Sweat Running Community and ran approx 11km before meeting up with Mark (also from No Sweat) and heading on an additional 6km route, finishing in the park.
When we got there, Ben was seen running laps of the park. It was great to welcome him back again and he was on brand wearing the latest Parkrun top, much to the pleasure of our Parkrun Ambassador, Karen who was wearing a similar one.
Anne, Rich and Victoria walked to the park as well.
After the morning briefing, which involved lots of milestone wristbands being given out, the 88 Juniors went to the start line and did their 2km run, while the volunteers clapped and cheered them around the course.
It was a successful morning with no incidents, and all the children seemed to have a good time (as did we!)
On Wednesday evening we will be doing circuits in the park, do join us if you can.
