Another week at Woking GoodGym and it was great to welcome some new faces. A big warm welcome to Chris, Kacie, Conor and Manjit. We were looking forward to helping out at Brockhill Care home again this week. We have been there a few times before and have helped transform their reception area.
After introductions and a briefing on what the night was to bring we headed off down the canal. With a gentle 3km run towards the care home we were greeted by some lovely residents of the care home who were prepped and ready with a welcome drink of water for all the woking members.
This week we were to make a start in the dining room and we got to work painting the walls. ‘Wild Primrose’ was the colour this week. With rollers and paint brushes at the ready it didn’t take long for the transformation to begin. Whilst painting we got to hear more about for new members and what they have been up to, with Kacie taking a trip down to Dorset last weekend. This week was a big week for our regular member Mark - not only did he have a hair cut he also managed to open his first can of paint. Things are looking up for Mark and everyone should agree that Mark is living life to the fullest and that’s two things ticked off his bucket list. GoodGym is here to help everyone!
We missed Barbara, George and Anne who were off on their holidays this week. We look forward to your return.
