Why indeed?
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Friday, 28th of May 2021
"So here's a question" Ms J started as we embarked on another fascinating Friday morning distanced and masked doorstep conversation. "Instead of building more flats, why don't they get people to build more factories and that will then give people more jobs...we just don't seem to make anything in this country anymore".
And with that thought ringing in my head, I pointed myself towards the world's politest supermarket for another scurry around the shelves on her behalf. As I reached for the Melton Mowbray Pork Pies (seemingly now back in plentiful supply), I realised that this country still does make mighty fine (dare I say world class) and unique products, but I'm not sure meat wrapped in Leicestershire's most delicious pastry was what Ms J had in mind when it came to kickstarting the post Covid economy...
