A slightly delayed congratulations to Laurie for managing to get a PB at the Cambridge Half Marathon a couple of weeks ago. This week our task was to do some more leafletting for Foodcycle to spread the news of the free meals they offer to people along with reducing food waste and tackling social isolation.
Meeting up at the university, it was pitch black by the time we started our run. Definitely head torch season now!! With Laurie and Andy backmarking we ventured off towards the Melbourne area of Chelmsford, taking a bit of a scenic route as I got lost in the dark, but with Joel's help we found our way.
We dropped off leaflets along Kings road, West Avenue, Langton Avenue and Anderson Avenue. Seemingly greeted by lots and lots of barking dogs going for their evening walkies, Andy reminisced about his first GoodGym session litter picking in the area. With everyone running dry of leaflets we headed back to the university for a stretch and a goodbye. Thanks for coming everyone!!
Our next task will be helping out at Interact on Thursday which you can find out more about here.
