500 Deeds?! - leaflet out! Fir real.
A very special occasion tonight as we got together to celebrate Sarah reaching her 500th good deed!
We also managed to deliver a most appropriate 500 leaflets for the very excellent Aid Box community. These were to publicise their Refutree project, selling Christmas trees to raise money to support refugees.
The leaflets were targeted for an area around Clifton so that meant hills. After a short harbourside warm up we split into two groups, where I deftly volunteered my co-host Richard to take a group up the steepest hill while I took a steadier paced option up the more gradual ascent.
Between us we dispatched the leaflets to some very lovely houses before heading back downhill to Queen Square where Clo and Richard had a special surprise in store.
In what has become somewhat of a tradition, the maestros had penned a special musical tribute to Sarah, this time to be sung to the tune of Teenage Dirtbag. It was a masterpiece and a sterling live performance.
In return, Sarah treated us all to some fantastic Banana Bread and what I think was caramel cake but I'm not sure because there wasn't any left by the time it got to me and frankly I blame Matt for that ๐
In all seriousness though, Sarah we think you're amazing and an all round Nice Person. Well done on your 500th deed and thanks both for being such a valued member of our group for so long.
We all hope you feel better soon Mel, hopefully normal service with a professional level of pun and photography can resume again next week (thanks for the good photos Rich!)
