What a shed load of work that was!
12 GoodGymers made their way 4.0km to help their local community in Colchester.

Wednesday in late August, the day before GCSE results. Lots of people still on holiday, others bored from having been off school for weeks - and there's no better cure than Goodgym!
We welcomed Chris, and Chris and Chrissie complimented him on his good name.
Everyone was excited as we were off to the Colchester in Bloom allotment again - and the list of tasks to do there was as long as my arm. We made our way there, and the views were stunning - a lot moreso than the grey of 2 weeks ago due to the torrential rain.
As soon as we got there, the tall men were singled out to help put the roof on the new shed, and then there were many other tasks to do, including creating a new planting bed, leveling out ground, cleaning old pieces of wood with wire brushes, and moving potted plants around.
Within 30 minutes we had completed all of these and the allotment was again transformed. Its amazing what 12 runners can do in 30 minutes and as Pam said, that's 6 hours work without breaks!
As we spent a bit longer than usual on the task, we didn't have time for a fitness session on the way home, but instead, made our way back to Leisure World for a good stretch before parting ways.
As usual Pam was eager to book in the next date we could help - its so nice to have a task owner who is so happy to have us, and keen to want us back. She's always so pleased with what we get done, which makes it incredibly motivating.
