Well that was rubbish
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hounslow.
- Saturday, 12th of August 2023
Having done a community mission on Ham Lands in the morning, Beth and JP reconvened at the home of Mrs L to help her with her front garden.
She had asked for the lawn to be cut but sadly there weren’t any tools available (at least none with UK plugs!). Moreover the garden was full of litter and overflowing containers of rubbish.
We decided to start by bagging up the rubbish in the hope that they would be collected, then JP got going on collecting the litter. Undeterred by the lack of tools, Beth set about trimming the grass by hand, ripping the clumps down to an appropriate height with admirable vigour.
Our efforts were rewarded with a much tidier looking front garden and we left happy we had made a difference.
