Weed-idn't leaf anything but the rhubarb!
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Hounslow.

It was a sunny Saturday in Chiswick and all through the House (& Gardens), weeds were taking over and plants in need of a douse... Hammersmith and Fulham to the rescue!
Beth, Bethan, Jonathan & Lucy braved the heat and the run/cycle/walk from the neighbouring borough to join Natasha for this much needed community mission, aided by CH Gardener Chris.
Armed with gardening gloves and disinfected tools Bethan, Johnny & Natasha set to clearing the weeds which were overtaking the rhubarb and apple trees in the kitchen garden. Meanwhile, Beth and Lucy gave the plants a much-needed drink after the hottest day of the year... wise Jonathan was becoming one with the rhubarb and got a little soaking in the process, ha!
We then admired the fruits of so many folks labour with a little walk around, stopping to appreciate the kiwis, squash, chillies, berry cages and not forgetting the sunflowers towering over Lucy!
After a much-needed water break ourselves, we all tackled the tougher weeds surrounding the Bug Hotel replica of Chiswick House - just check out those before and after shots!
Celebrating a job well done, we all tucked into Bethan's delicious homemade brownies that she so kindly carried all the way to share with us - be sure to give her a cheer, or two!
Finally, we said a cheery farewell to Chris with the promise that we'd be back on Wednesday for more fun gardening thymes!
