Weed did it! 🌱
4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Lewisham.

The bright sunshine on this beautiful Saturday morning was a warm welcome to those GoodGymers coming to Marsha Phoenix Trust for a spot of gardening.
Sam found himself outside the Trust first followed shortly by a new GoodGymer, Katie! 🙌🎉 Vic and Sue (task owner) showed up just on time and of course, the one that lives within walking distance....Jacqueline appeared within a "couple of minutes" 😜
Sue had a couple of tasks planned for us - both in the front and back gardens, but in the end we concentrated at the back. There was a lot of weeding around the fruit (raspberries) beds. A task Jacqueline and Sam slowly did and achieved a fair amount - it's the never ending battle with weeds! Vic and Katie decided to tackle the brambles that had engulfed the greenhouse. In the end, they did a number of it and in doing so achieved a upper workout! 💪
Of course, it wouldn't be a Marsha Phoenix task without a tea/coffee break and this time (like last), Sue brought some snacks (Trek bars).
We used the last 40 minutes to continue with our tasks and before we knew it....it was time! The next Marsha Phoenix Trust task is in 3 weeks, so please make sure to sign up!
Katie - welcome again and hopefully, you had a fantastic time with us. Hopefully, see you on another GG mission 😊

Fantastic work everyone, it's making a big difference to those who live there. Great to welcome a newcomer to the fold too, great stuff Katie!
