We rose to the challenge and sorted out the garden once and floral
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.

Here's what Ms R of SW12 had to say about the mission:
They were marvellous, did the job properly and really cheered me up! Would have them both back again. Keep up the good work!
On a sunny afternoon we met up in Wandsworth to tackle Ms R's huge and beautiful garden. We were led straight outside by the lovely Ms R, who told us that since she didn't have any children of her own, we would be her daughters for the afternoon. Aw! While I got stuck into cutting back an encroaching ivy plant, Rosie got to grips with a massive plant that needed digging up. Under Ms R's direction, and using some considerable muscle, it became clear that it was bigger task than first thought! But after battling daffodil bulbs, a couple of giant spiders, and some very persistent roots, it was an ultimate victory for Rosie. We had time to stop for a chat with Ms R and her lovely husband, and heard how they'd lived in the same house for 57 years - seeing some huge changes in the area during that time. Ms R told us how delighted she was with the work we had done, claiming that her garden had been transformed! As we left we agreed that it had been one of our favourite missions yet.
