10 ran to paint the raised beds at City Mencap's garden at Farleigh's hospice.
Despite the weather promising wind and threatening rain 10 of the Goodgym Crew met to run to Farleigh's hospice. It was great to welcome another newbie Roger to the group and he put in a sterling effort both on the run and at the task.
It was a long run this evening as we set off for the 5k and a bit up to Broomfield. The distance proved no problem for the group even though it was a long one for Jenny and some of the group. this did mean we had to work fast and carefully to paint the planters and try to keep the paint on the wood work and not on the fresh concrete!
So we got stuck in and covered as much as we could in the time. I am sure it looks much brighter, but it was difficult to tell as the light faded!
That was our cue to head back to base and we set off at a pace, trying to warm up a little as the heat dissapeard as fast as the light. another 5k easily dispatiched we had a quick stretch before heading home.
Next week we are back to uni for freshers week! you can sign up Here it should be a fun session, and get ready for a good workout!
we are also getting ready for another social, details will be up soon!
