We don't have to take our clothes off to do a naked run. We can weed & compost all night.
21 GoodGymers made their way 4.0km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.

Despite the cryptic and innuendo filled pre-task email, we had a fantastic turnout this evening at GoodGym Tower Hamlets with 21 runners signed up to do good and get fit in the Hollybush Estate. The subject of the email? Naked running. But we'll get to that.
We set off on the very short journey to our task where the group were acquainted with gloves and hoes to tackle some troublesome weeds which had been accumulating around the allotment over the last month. Whilst the majority of the team got cracking with the pathways and an overgrown raised bed, the remainder were treated to the compost heap which required some expert shovelling and lopping to get into order. The compost team included two very welcome new GoodGymmers, Maz & David. Thanks for your great efforts tonight! What was the result of our Tower Hamlets Heroes' work this evening? You can see for yourself with the before and after photos. The allotment was practically sparkling - especially when we all grouped for a photo with our shimmering jazz hands.
After a very confrontational warm-up (keeping our posture by maintaining eye contact during squats and lunges), we jogged off to the infamous naked running session...
It's not what you think really. Just 3 sets of two minutes running out and back - with the catch of not using your watch or any tech to time yourself. On the first round there were a wide range of times counted (between 1:25 and 3 mins!), but even running at different paces, it was impressive to see how close our runners got to returning on two minutes. A special shout out to Nick for his expert pacing on his first try!
It was a wonderful night of gardening and running - well done all! A great evening's work to start the week. See you next time!
