We couldn't leaf it alone
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.
- Friday, 6th of March 2020
Running in opposite directions, both Sam and Sarah were late for this GoodGym task. They blamed it on the school run traffic (which was partly true). Yet, late or not, Mr G was waiting at the door and gave the specific orders of what to do - clear the leaves from his driveway and from his front lawn; around his lovely bluebells (which smelt like spring onions...). We were meant to mown his lawn, but he wanted to see his wild flowers spring to life and thus, we had one less task to do! We swept up the leaves from his garage, driveway and around his front lawn. It was all done and dusted within 30 minutes! Yet, Mr G will be needing GoodGym's assistance again in a few weeks' time; to mow the lawn and dig a hole for a tree he wants to plant.
Sarah and Sam said their goodbyes. Sam was off to another mission (North of the river) and Sarah, who landed earlier in the day from the US, had to recover from jet lag. Yet, helping Mr G was a great way to start the weekend!
