We can see clearly now the weeds are gone.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Sunday, 28th of April 2019
We met Mr L in the front garden! He was busying himself around the garden already on arrival. Lots of lovely flowers, shrubs and plants including tulips, geranium, bluebells and a unique arch like bush in the back garden.
He set us up with trimmers, shovels and gloves. Two jobs to do between myself and Pippa. Pippa had a great idea to flip a coin to help us decide which task to do each. Heads for the hedges and tails for the front flower beds. We left it in the power of the coin and it decided Pippa was better at cutting hedges and I set off to the front garden to sort out the weeds and very thorny thornes...
Pippa did a mighty job at shaping the arch way hedge and two large bushes in the front garden using the step ladder. A little tricky and hard to reach areas thought they would stop her in her tracks but she was well able to negotiate a new pathway to reach and snip them hard to reach stray branches.
Mr. L asked me to dig up the wild garlic flowers and bulbs and the thorney thornes.. After over 2 hours job done. We bagged up the trimmings into 4 black bin bags and thanked Mr. L for his guidance! off we went home to Sunday chill time.
Today was also London Marathon day - Well done to all Goodgym and non Goodgym members who ran the race. You are all amazing!

Amazing work, both! Looks like you did a cracking job on that arch too!
