We came, we sawed, we conquered the garden!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.
- Saturday, 14th of September 2019
Lambeth and Southwark runners joined on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon in Clapham.
Mr F had been helped by his elderly neighbour to chop down dying trees and bushes in his garden. Unfortunately they were unable to clean it up.
We got started tackling spikey reels of brambles and clearing rubbish. We sneezed our way through clearing the old trees and discovered ‘Tree Dust.’
Mr F gave us a saw to break down the large branches and we had a limited 11 bin bags to fill. We did as much as we could and jumped down in the bags to clear as much as possible.
In the end we enjoyed some lemonade and a chat with Mr F who was very happy and said we made his day.
