We really know how to party on Friday nights!!! Five of goodgym party-goers have made their way to the Frenfords centre despite very icy conditions. First to arrive was a party of three led by James and his car that managed to bring the North Redbridge crew safely to Ilford. Arriving from work later Kathryn and Jenny made their way by bus and successfully skated on Redbridge icy pavements to get to the foodbank.
The place was buzzing - lots of different volunteers were coming and going and helping! We started with packing of bags for households to get ready for those who were delivering them later on. The festive tunes were on so the atmosphere was great! Irfan and Gen were very kind and also had some treats and hot tea for volunteers to enjoy - choccies, biccies and some amazing crisps! That sustained us well for good three hours:)
Once all the households were packed for, we helped to unpack donations and sort the shelves out. Jenny helped out with phone calls and Linda and Kathryn took particular shine to the art of organisation - those fruit tins never looked better, ladies;)
Well done to everyone for a great Friday night of productive good deeding!
