Mission

Washing Line of Duty

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Chelmsford.

We were greeted by Mrs D and shown to her peaceful, yet quite overgrown garden. With the time available, she asked that we focus on clearing as much around her washing line as we could, so that she could take advantage of the sunny weather and put it to use. We got our gloves on and got clearing. In around an hour, we’d filled up a green waste bin and piled up almost the same amount. David did the majority of the hard work, including pulling up some weeds taller than him, and uncovered a second small pathway in the garden.

Mrs D was really happy with what we achieved, and we hope she gets lots of washing dry!
