Volunteering at Guildford Junior Parkrun
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Parkrun - Guildford Juniors in Woking.
- Sunday, 11th of September 2022
- Led by James McCloud
Our regular Sunday volunteering at Woking Junior Parkrun was interrupted today as the Woking Triathlon was taking place in our park, so several of the Woking team decided to show some love to our neighbouring parkrun at Guildford.
James, Adam and Victoria met up with Rich from the No Sweat Run Club and ran 9.5km to the lovely Stoke Park, where we met the Run Director, Emily.
We got issued with hi vis jackets, and briefed on our roles, which were mostly marshaling the misty course to shout encouragement and ensure safety to the 150ish children that took park this morning.
For the run back, James, Adam and Rich took the scenic river route back to Woking, where we stopped at a favourite haunt for a well earned breakfast.
