It's Christmaaaaaassss! Yes, it was our festive social last night, but not without a little bit of doing good and getting fit first.
On a suitably chilly night we met at the Town Hall for a warm up that saw us doing our very best bunny hops, and discussing whether we would have turkey on the big day. It was a majority yes, but no-one seemed particularly pleased about it. Other options included chestnut roast, beef sirloin and anything wrapped in pastry - or all of it!
We set off for Kew bridge where we quickly dispersed to do a big old litter pick. As usual the area did not disappoint in terms of variety of rubbish - we found all manner of things including, interestingly, several old vests.
After a run back to our starting point it was time for the social, the highlight of which was definitely Alanna's amazing quiz. If you ever wanted to know how many good deeds Santa would get for every Christmas present delivered to a child, or if he was to join the closest GG group to Lapland, or if he was to design a badge for the GG website what would it be called and why then look no further! We were serenaded beautifully by quiz winner Lucy, and there were several excellent Christmas looks going on round the table. After last year, it was so lovely for everyone to be back together again with a little sprinkling of festive joy!
Next week is our last run of the year, so keep an eye out for that. Until then, happy holidays everyone - enjoy the mince pies, tinsel and festive running!
