Using the rule of plum we reached new heights!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Kingston upon Thames.
- Tuesday, 30th of July 2019
Ms J was very pleased to have our help to cut back her overgrown plum tree branches that had grown so high that they were scratching against the upstairs windows of her house. Caroline and I took turns being the safety officer holding the ladder on the uneven surfaces while the other climbed, stretched and reached to chop the overhanging branches. Caroline saw an opportunity to branch out further and passed a saw up the ladder to me to make it easier to get some of the thicker ones chopped! The wind and the torrential downpour added an extra challenge as we were completely soaked as we cleared the extra branches that we then piled up in front of her house. Thankfully it was only a short run home for us both and we left with the satisfaction of a job well done and a brighter front room for Ms J.
