The long and winding road...leads me to the completely wrong end of the Avenue, still that meant an extra mile or so clocked up...most of it uphill!
The task was to pick up and deliver a Foodbank parcel for Mr R.
Having not done a Foodbank delivery before, I naively trotted along, dogs in tow, expecting a bag or two of essential items... What I actually found was that the team are now handing out seven days worth of food, which fills three BIG bags. Fortunately, we had plenty of time, so turned tail and headed back home. Leaving the dogs behind, I jumped on my bike and set off again.
Both panniers were packed to the rim, and a third bag was strapped on top! Quite a weight to haul up the hill, to Mr R.
He was very grateful to receive the food bags, which will, hopefully see him through the next week.
