Un-wRecking Lordship Rec
7 GoodGymers made their way 2.9km to help the Friends of Lordship Rec in Haringey.

Seven sagacious GoodGymmers met at Tottenham Green to pick up litter in Lordship Rec.
Our original plan to post flyers for Jackson Lane Theatre to promote Haringey has pride unfortunately fell by the way side as the promised flyers hadn't arrived/the leisure centre staff couldn't find them. We'll hopefully manage that another night.
Dashing Dave saved the day though - bin bags and brand new poundshop gloves awaited at his, so we set off via his house (and a quick wall sit) to grab supplies before getting to lordship rec. The recent hot weather has left parks very popular indeed and as a result - full of litter. So the team got to work and within half an hour had filled three black bags with rubbish.
There were the usual party and takeaway supplies and some weird rubbish too - a office chair arm support, a pot stand, a lego star wars figure (pictured) and a piece of hosepipe amongst other things.
Litter picking done we set our things to one side for some strides. After the threat of hill sprints (next time guys) we settled on a nice flat path and about 100m each way. The team ran hard out - about 60-70% effort - and a slow recovery pace back. Two times, then a break and some squats, then they went again. It was a brilliant effort by everyone in slightly muggy conditions.
From there, it was a nice gentle run back to base for a stretch. Thanks for having me Haringey! See you soon
