Here's what Ms F of CF14 had to say about the mission:

Ms F was delighted with the help last night. She thought both runners were lovely and thought they did a great job. Thanks!

Ms F of CF14, mission beneficiary

In doing his first mission run, Darren joined the ranks of Ben, Emma and Mikey in an illustrious group. A group that Nathan has been late for and left Dareen waiting in the cold and wet!!! :o)

When Nathan and Darren 'eventually' met up, they ran together through the wind and rain to visit Ms F. She was pleased to greet "two handsome men" (her words honest!) and she welcomed us into her kitchen. Nathan had visited before and he discussed the previous mission and introduced Darren.

Ms F needed help unpacking the boxes in her kitchen after her recent move. We got straight to work, moving some of the larger items into the shed to create some room to work in. It was dark out so Nathan used the light on his phone and balanced his phone on the sloped shed roof...............luckily when it fell it did not break, it only landed in a puddle! ;o)

We then began going through a large box that had not been labeled during her move. We sorted items to go to charity, to be binned, to be re-boxed and put in the shed or to be put away in the kitchen. Ms F instructed us on where she wanted things to go and regaled us with stories of where in the world she had purchased some of the items.

We took a short-ish break from sorting to build a table so she had somewhere to put her lamp and read at night. Nathan described it as a fiddly little beggar! (these may have not been his exact words!)

We returned to work on the box and once it was empty could clear some room for the next stage in 'Operation Kitchen set up'. We moved some more boxes in the shed and and took out the rubbish and recycling. After over an hour we called it a night.

There is a lot more to do but we have made a good dent and Ms F was very grateful, I am sure some of us will return to her soon....
