Trying to reason with the seasons...
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.
- Friday, 7th of May 2021
Ms J greeted me this morning by saying she'd just watched the news and it was telling her it was going to be two degrees tonight...she wanted to check if she'd misheard, but I assured her that her hearing was crystal clear, even if it did mean an extra blanket might be needed later.
"How can it be two degrees in May, it makes no sense? It'll be summer in October at this rate" she said. I left her puzzling over the ever changing meteorological patterns of the world and headed to the more ordered environment of the world's politest supermarket.
It was exactly a year ago today that I did my first shop for Ms J and so returned with both her shopping and some flowers to celebrate this particular anniversary, hoping that some colour would brighten up the day and take her mind off the prospect of a few more days of unseasonably chilly conditions in this particular corner of London.
