Trimming around the bush
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hounslow.

Here's what Mrs S of TW4 had to say about the mission:
We caught up with Ms S who told us how "lovely" the runners had been! She is very happy with all the work that you managed to do - great job!
Not a very long run. Not a very long task. But three very happy people in the end.
Ms S is a retired teacher who is looking after both her husband and her son, and still has enough energy for her gorgeous garden. Today, however, we were going to help with the front yard. Trimming the hedge and some litter picking and general tidying up to give it the splendour Ms S deserved. We distributed the work based on the "tall guy does the high stuff" rule and after a few minutes Ms S decided to join us. It was cold and it started to drizzle, but that did not stop her from showing her amazing technique with the hedge trimmer, and the not less amazing way of taking the rose bushes out of the way with some strings attached to the car.
She was so glad with the quality of our work that even offered us a job. In the end she rewarded us tea, biscuits and chocolate. Just the extra energy we needed to run back in the cold.
