A windy Sunday afternoon in South Ealing saw Olivia, Michael and I join forces for the second time this week; they look somewhat different in the daylight and not wearing headtorches. Today also served to pop both of their Mission cherries, an honour indeed to be there with them.

When we were finally let in by Mrs C (broken doorbell, a job for next time), she set us to task on her garden, with a multitude of various tasks. Olivia and Michael tackled a large flowerbed covered with unidentifiable triffids, while I played with Mrs C’s telescopic bypass loppers (great big shears) and gave four of her rose bushes much needed haircuts. A generally ok job but she did rein me in slightly for being too ‘trigger happy’ with the blades.

The three of us combined forces on clearing the flower beds of weeds and debris from the cutting work and filled up 6 sacks. Similarly, it took a joint effort to fix Mrs C’s shed door and walls, which had imploded due to internal overloading. Bit of a random one but within our capabilities.

Jobs done in just over an hour and Ms C was most happy with the results; we did GoodGym Ealing proud.
